Digitalization, Platforms Economy and Key Enablers

Digitalisation is changing businesses and society with an ever-increasing speed. For example, platforms economy introduces a basis for the interplay of new connectivity, cyber security, IoT and AI solutions that together enable creating added value with data driven business models – autonomous driving and intelligent factories being just selected examples of the forthcoming offering. Similarly, also functioning future society requires digital solutions that are available irrespective of the time and the place, and there are no longer substituting non-digital or paper version processes available. As a consequence, the near-future digital infrastructures and the related services are forming a critical infrastructure that goes beyond the traditional definitions. What this new setup actually includes, how to explore its true potential and what it requires from us all?
